Jason Karp is a renowned running coach, exercise physiologist, and author, who has written over 15 books, including Coaching the Kenyans, and The Inner Runner. He has a PhD in exercise physiology and has conducted research on various topics including muscle fiber recruitment patterns, training characteristics of Olympic Marathoners, and nutritional recovery strategies. Jason regularly delivers talks at conferences and coaching clinics worldwide, such as the popular TEDx talk ‘How Running Like an Animal Makes Us Human’.
As head coach of the Georgian Court University women's cross country team (New Jersey), Jason won NAIA Northeast Region Coach of the Year honors. While coaching high school track and field and cross country, he produced state qualifiers and All-Americans. In 2021, he became the first American distance running coach to move to Kenya to coach a group of Kenyan runners.
